Die Rotweine aus Saint-Aubin wirken auf den ersten Blick immer etwas robuster, aber auch genau das macht ihren Charme aus. Denn hier trifft die satte Kirschfrucht der Côte de Beaune auf eine kühlende, steinige Mineralik.

Derrière la Tour ist eine steile Südlage im Seitental oberhalb des Ortes Gamay gelegen. In der Nase eine schöne Melange aus vollreifen roten Waldbeeren und floralen Noten. Auch am Gaumen setzt sich das Spiel aus der tiefen roten Frucht und den feinen Kräuternoten schön fort. Konzentriert und fest zugleich. Im Finale herrlich extraktreich, sinnlich und mit langem Abgang.

I was expecting excellent when I arrived to taste these 2022s, but I wasn't prepared to taste the best set of wines I've ever encountered from the Bachelet brothers! The top cuvées are sadly produced in minuscule quantities, but everything reviewed here comes warmly recommended."
